Homework scanner app

Scan a homework question. Understand the steps.

Take a photo or choose an image, then select one complete question and your attempt. Cardify organizes the question, solution steps, and available feedback so you can study it again later.

The shorter the entry, the easier it sticks Photo capture should serve review, not become another assignment.

Three-step flow

From photo to review record, the key is reducing noise.

Students often capture a worksheet, test page, or board. Cardify clarifies the question boundary first, then runs AI recognition and summary so review does not become a pile of vague screenshots.

Why not just OCR

Reviewing missed questions needs learning context, not just text recognition.

A mistake includes the prompt, student work, solution steps, error reason, and concept. Cardify designs photo capture around that context instead of only extracting text.

1

Question boundary

Select one full question to reduce interference from neighboring problems and unrelated text.

2

Student work

Preserve the student calculation, choice, or scratch work so feedback targets the real mistake.

3

Review entry point

The organized record can move into the study notebook and focused review instead of stopping as a photo.

After generation

Photo capture is only the start. The value is the review structure after it.

Recognize the question

Clarify the prompt and conditions so students can see where confusion started.

Summarize feedback

Give feedback around the submitted work, not only the standard answer.

Enter review

The record enters the notebook and can be revisited by subject, concept, and time.

FAQ

About capturing mistakes

Does the photo need to be perfect?

No, but a complete question area makes recognition and feedback more stable. The crop step helps AI see the right context.

Can it process a whole page?

You can capture a page, but selecting one question first is better. One mistake at a time makes the review action more specific.

How to get useful homework help from a photo

  1. Capture the full problem. Include the instructions, diagram, answer choices, and your written attempt when relevant.
  2. Select one complete question. Crop out neighboring problems without cutting off symbols or labels. Keep all parts of a multi-page question available.
  3. Check the recognized content and explanation. Compare numbers, signs, and units with the original. AI can misread a photo or give an incorrect explanation; check uncertain steps with your teacher or course materials.
  4. Save it for review. Keep the question with its subject and topic, then return to it without looking at the answer.

Does scanning automatically grade a whole worksheet?

This workflow focuses on selected questions and their review records. It should not be treated as a promise of automatic full-page grading or perfect answer accuracy.

What happens after I get the explanation?

Save the question in your study mistake log, then follow the missed-question review guide. You will need the iPhone or iPad app to scan; this website explains the workflow.
